Undergraduate programmesWelcome to the undergraduate admissions web pages for the Department of Psychology. From here, you can find general information about the department's history, staff, research, and facilities. We also have details about the undergraduate degree courses we offer, including the design of our teaching programme, our entry requirements, and process of making an application. We're proud of our teaching standards, and the experience our students receive. So it's no surprise when our students (here, Katie Reay) say things like: "I am currently in my third year of the BSc Psychology course, and despite Lancaster being a long way from home; it really does feel like home from home. I have always enjoyed Psychology and English Language, and was instantly attracted to the Psychology course at Lancaster because of the variety it offers and I was not disappointed. In my time here I have taken a minor in Sociolinguistics and chosen modules which incorporate language in psychology, such as a dissertation in child language development. I have found certain things about the degree a challenge, particularly statistics! But the support from tutors and lecturers has been amazing. After gaining relevant work experience, I have been offered a place to train as a Speech and Language Therapist next year. I will be working with adults and children with speech difficulties and disabilities (such as after a stroke). The BA/BSc course offered at Lancaster has definitely given me a strong knowledge and support to go into this line of work!" So come and explore what our department can do for you and your psychological aspirations. Of course, you can also contact us if you require any further information. Note that we welcome inquiries from international students as well as students living in the UK. Thank for your interest in our degree programme. We hope that we can help you to develop your interest in psychology.
