Research Interests

My current research aims:

1. To reveal the functional organisation of visual remembering and visual knowledge, and their links with verbal processes, especially object naming.

2. To reveal the nature and origins (environmental and psychological) of synaesthetic cross-modality correspondences, and the functional significance of these correspondences for visual cognition, visual aesthetics, and language (e.g., sound symbolism and language acquisition).
